PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTION
What it is

Pregnancy and birth place significant demands on the body. Vitamin D and magnesium are among the most common nutrient shortfalls in women during the postpartum period, and they play an important role in immune function, muscle function, the nervous system and the body's ability to absorb calcium.

POST-PARTUM SUPPORT brings together three of KÄLLA's foundational products in one curated bundle.

VITAMIN D contributes to normal immune function and normal calcium absorption, particularly relevant during breastfeeding when the body prioritises the baby's needs.

MAGNESIUM 2 contributes to reducing tiredness and fatigue and supports normal nervous system function, a foundational mineral that is difficult to cover through diet alone during a period of high energy demand.

FOR IMMUNE HEALTH adds probiotic support with Lactobacillus paracasei DSM 13434 and Lactobacillus plantarum DSM 15312, backed by over 20 clinical studies, together with vitamin B12 and folic acid that contribute to normal immune function.

Three products formulated for those who want to give the body foundational support in the period after birth.

Who it's for

Curated for women in the postpartum period who want to replenish key nutrients for immune function, energy and recovery.

All three products are suitable from age 18. Consult your doctor or midwife if you are unsure about use during breastfeeding

How to take

FOR IMMUNE HEALTH
Mix 1 sachet into a cold drink or sprinkle over cold food, preferably in the morning.

VITAMIN D
Take 1 capsule daily with a meal. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and is best absorbed alongside food containing some fat.

MAGNESIUM
Take 2 capsules in the evening, preferably 30 minutes before bed.

Tip: FOR IMMUNE HEALTH and Vitamin D fit well into your morning routine. Take Magnesium in the evening.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children.

FAQs

Can I take Magnesium when pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes, it is generally safe for use during pregnancy, as long as the recommended dosage is followed, but we advise consulting with a healthcare provider for personalised advice.

What should I avoid taking with magnesium?

Avoid taking magnesium supplements with high doses of zinc, as they can interfere with each other's absorption. Additionally, magnesium can interact with certain medications, including bisphosphonates (used for osteoporosis), and diuretics, so it's important to take these supplements at a different time of day or as directed by your healthcare provider.

Why is this combination of Magnesium superior to other forms of magnesium?

Many magnesium supplements are made from magnesium oxide, which is cheap but often poorly absorbed by the body, making it a less efficacious form. In clinical settings magnesium oxide is sometimes used as a laxative and bowel preparation for surgery, so not appropriate for people with sensitive guts. Magnesium bisglycinate is highly bioavailable and citrate is quickly absorbed, which is why you are likely to feel the impact quicker. Some forms of magnesium can cause digestive issues, but our two forms are gentle on the digestive system and together, they provide comprehensive support for muscle relaxation, nerve function, and overall well-being.
