Individuals with severe kidney disease, those with a history of chronic diarrhoea, or those taking certain medications (e.g. diuretics) should avoid magnesium supplements unless advised by a healthcare provider. High doses (doses over our recommended 2 capsules a day) of magnesium can also interfere with certain heart medications.
